The Detroit News: Tom Gores hasn’t bought the Detroit Pistons – yet?

Gregg Krupa of The Detroit News:
"The Pistons are about to extend exclusive negotiations with the California financier Tom Gores for two weeks. The move comes after negotiations gathered steam this week.Gores has remained in town for several days to participate in them directly. But sources close to the process told The Detroit News on Thursday there is no agreement in place to sell the team and the two sides continue to bargain on a price."
The Detroit News has owned this story so far. I don’t know for certain, but for now, I’m trusting Krupa over the Detroit Free Press’ earlier report.
