Tracy McGrady: “I’ve had talks with Joe and he definitely wants to bring me back”

Chris Tomasson of HoopsHype has a good read on Tracy McGrady today. In it, T-Mac discusses everything from Jeff Van Gundy’s comments to his views on practice. McGrady also says he’d like to play five more years and, interestingly, hasn’t ruled out re-signing with the Pistons:

"“I’ve had talks with Joe (Dumars) and he definitely wants to bring me back,’’ McGrady said of the Detroit executive. “And I’m excited about him having that willingness to bring me back. But that is something that I will evaluate. Maybe I’ll be here again.’’"

The comments are interesting, considering most fans had assumed that even if the Pistons wanted McGrady back, he’d be more interested in joining a better team in the offseason.
