Pistons hire Dennis Mannion as president of the Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment

"Dennis Mannion, 52, president of the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2007 until last year, will be named president of the Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment this week.He has worked for teams in all four pro sports, including stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Phillies, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche.Mannion will oversee all business operations for the Pistons franchise along with the Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre, including sales, marketing, finance and administration. Joe Dumars, president of basketball operations, will continue in that role."

Mannion will replace Alan Ostfield, whose departure apparently wasn’t related to the lockout.
