Joe Dumars says Tom Gores has been ‘great to work with’

Jonathan Abrams of Grantland has an interesting look at some of the newest NBA owners and how they may or may not factor into the current labor situation. Although Abrams didn’t get to talk to Tom Gores, he did get a couple comments from Joe Dumars on his working relationship with Gores so far:

"“He’s been great to work with,” Dumars wrote in an e-mail. “He’s passionate, smart and committed to winning.”"

Of course, that’s not much different than anything else we’ve heard and with the lockout preventing any kind of personnel moves, it’s likely there has been little that could cause much conflict as of yet. It will be interesting to see how the working relationship progresses if Gores and Dumars have differing opinions on roster moves that are or are not needed.
