Nene would convince Pistons to amnesty someone if he’d sign, which he won’t

Nene is the premier free agent of this class, and there have been reports that several teams are interested – none of them mentioning the Pistons. That doesn’t mean they wouldn’t like Nene, just that they’re realistic.

In case you’re holding out hope for Nene, Marc Stein and Chad Ford of ESPN.com:

"The Pistons could move roughly $15 million under the cap if they used amnesty on Villanueva, but sources say they’d only do that for Nene, who hasn’t given any indication that Motown is on his list."
