Pistons re-sign Jonas Jerebko

Larry Lage of the Associated Press:

"#Pistons will re-sign Tayshaun Prince and Jonas Jerebko. Prince got 4-yr $27-million deal and Jerebko will be back for $16-million, 4 years"

I’m obviously more happy with this signing than bringing back Tayshaun Prince, but couldn’t the Pistons have used their leverage with Jonas Jerebko to at least try to secure a slightly better deal? Did anyone see another team offering Jerebko more than $4 million per year? Because he was a restricted free agent, the risk of waiting for that team to emerge would’ve been lessened. The Pistons could’ve always matched.
