After an unexpected 2 game absence, Jose Calderon will finally play for Detroit tonight. The team has to be excited for this, as they are coming off a close loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Calderon missed his first 2 games as a Piston because of work visa issues. Highly respected ESPN correspondent Marc Stein tweeted to confirm:

Here at Life on Dumars, we have covered Calderon’s impact on the immediate future of the Pistons a few times (here and here in case you missed it). So, we are very excited to see the impact he places on the team. Detroit plays the New York Knicks tonight. After starting off hot the Knicks started to cool down, but they are picking things back up going 7-3 in their last 10 and winning their last 4. It is good to finally have Calderon in uniform against the 2nd best record in the Eastern Conference. Calderon is expected wear number 8 tonight. We will happily grade his game tonight over his suit collection.
