Why Kim English ranks No. 11

I liked Kim English a lot when the Pistons draft him, but he’s been pretty underwhelming so far. I hoped he could become the type of player Kevin Pelton describes as a 3&D guy, but English has yet to shoot 3-pointers (8-of-25 this season) or defend (393rd in points allowed per play, according to Synergy)

But, he’s so darn likable.

The Pistons will have a tough decision this summer whether to keep English, whose 2013-14 salary is fully unguaranteed. English is not the type of player a team would trade for, but he could push a close deal over the edge.
