We all know the Legend of Matt Barnes by now. Barnes is good defender, possesses a great outlet pass, hits the 3, would immediately add some gritty quasi-dirty intensity to the roster. Alas, Barnes has value to any contender and the Pistons aren’t exactly a contender (what?!) and I’m not sure Barnes wants to “waste” his last valuable years playing extended garbage time or that the Pistons are willing to pay him the kind of money that would even make him consider setting up camp at the Palace.
