– Mitchell showed his tremendous potential in Orlando in this years Summer League with his great athleticism. He averaged 8 points and 7 rebounds a game in Orlando, and formed a dynamic duo on the front line with equally athletic big man Andre Drummond.

Mitchell was called a lottery talent in the days leading into the 2013 NBA Draft, but fell because of the questions on his motor, and his willingness to play hard every night. If Summer league was any indication of how he would play in the pros, the Pistons may have found a diamond in the rough.
