Pistons vs. Grizzlies: Tayshaun Prince Makes His Second Return To The Palace

Tayshaun Prince, former Piston, will make his return to the Palace for only the second time since being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, tonight.

The Pistons traded Prince, last season, to the Memphis Grizzlies in a three team deal. The Pistons would receive Jose Calderon in that deal from the Grizzlies, whom originally came from the Toronto Raptors.

In his first return to the Palace since the trade, Prince struggled. Maybe it was the nerves of returning to the home of your former team for the first time since the trade, but he had a total of only four points to show for in that game.

On a side note, it will be interesting to see how Prince matches up against Josh Smith. Even at 33 years of age, Prince always seems to hold his own against the bigger player he is matched up against.

Another thing to look out for is the fans reception of Prince. He received a nice ovation the first time around, but it would be hard to imagine if he didn’t get a much better one. It’s been a little while since his first return to the Palace, so you can expect Pistons fans to be excited to see the former Piston once again.
