The Greg Monroe free agency party has begun.

Of those teams, the only one to take serious is so far is Portland, who Stein says is willing to sign and trade for the Pistons big man.
Another team to watch in the Greg Monroe restricted free-agent hunt: I’m told Portland has serious interest in a sign-and-trade for Monroe

The Blazers, who reportedly would love a duo of LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Monroe, have plenty of wing talent that the could be willing to deal to land the big man.
For the Pistons, it would take a deal that blows them out of the water in order for them to consider moving Monroe.
Batum and a combination of a forward such as Thomas Robinson and C.J. McCollum might be enough for the Pistons to decide to make a deal.
The Cavaliers have also decided to show some interest early this afternoon.
Cleveland would have a hard time gathering talent to ship to Detroit in any sign and trade. Especially considering Andrew Wiggins would be off the table in any type of deal.
It’s really early in the process and there is a ton of interest from across the league. For the Pistons, who were prepared to pay the max if needed — this has to be a dream come true.
At the least, Detroit will have many options when it comes to making a decision on Monroe’s future.
A lot of the teams in the mix have some pretty good young assets. Take the Magic for example, who have Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo at guard and a slew of younger post players that could fill a void left if Monroe is traded.
There will be a ton more teams in the mix once free agency calms down a bit and the bigger names in free agency find their homes.
Monroe could be a great fit alongside Julius Randle and gives the Lakers three quality NBA starters heading into next season.
