Brandon Jennings drops 57 points in Drew League debut

The NBA’s Orlando Summer League wasn’t the only place to find high quality basketball Saturday afternoon. And Kentavious Caldwell-Pope wasn’t the only Pistons guard that put on a display of offense.

Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings made his Drew League debut on Saturday for The Clozers. When it was all said and done, Jennings had a field day — scoring 57 points, while adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Jennings teamed up with former Piston and current Spur Austin Daye and former UConn Star Marcus Williams to lead the Clozers to the victory.

Jennings, as usual, faced major scrutiny from social media after the game. Of course, as usual — he responded to it.

The tweet, which has since been deleted by Jennings, had some validity to it.

Jennings opponent, the Sole Clinics, were led by current Sacramento King Derek Williams.

They also feature one of the top incoming freshmen in the country. Future Arizona Wildcat Stanley Johnson has really showcased his skills during Drew League play. He also impressed Jennings on Saturday.

Up next for Jennings? Continuing play in the Drew League with a potential superstar lineup.

I wonder how Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy feels about two of his starters being featured in the Drew League this summer?
