It was business as usual for Andre Drummond at the Chi League Pro-Am that took place last night in Chicago.
The capacity crowd at Whitney Young High School got a show when Drummond put on a show. You know what they say about Saturday nights.
There ain’t no party, like an alley-oop party.
Drummond, who teamed up with Pistons guard Will Bynum, sprung free on some epic jams Saturday night.
Ball Is Life was there to capture the big man throw it down with authority yesterday.
Point guard Will Bynum has been a fixture this summer at the Chi-League Pro-Am games Nike has hosted in Chicago. Last week, he and his squad featuring former UConn guard Ryan Boatright took on Team Parker — featuring Milwaukee Buck draft pick Jabari Parker. Bynum played well and was able to showcase the speed and one-on-one skills that he has shown off at times as a Detroit Piston.
If Andre Drummond and Will Bynum can make those type of connections next season, the Central Division better be put on notice.
Detroit might not be the favorites to win the division. They might not even have the horsepower to make it to the playoffs.
One thing is certain though.
Andre Drummond can make you look silly. He can do things that other big men can’t in this league.
The big man isn’t afraid to leap around, over of beside you — and put you on a poster.
