Chauncey Billups didn’t just meet and dine with the Cavaliers.

Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports:

"Free agent guard Chauncey Billups also worked out for the Cavaliers today & is interested in playing there,a source said. No offer was made."

"Chauncey Billups shot the ball very well in workout with Cavs & looked like he could still be a productive despite some rust, sources said."

Why were the Cavaliers working out a potential assistant general manager? Does not compute.

But seriously, good luck to Billups. I hope he earns a contract offer.

I wouldn’t sign him at this point – Ramon Sessions rates MUCH higher among free-agent point guards – but Billups isn’t necessarily finished. There’s a slight chance he could stay healthy and help in a limited role.
