"Spencer Dinwiddie saw his first live action of training camp in 3-on-3 drills Monday, increasing hope that the second-round point guard could be cleared soon for full activity.Medical staffers let Dinwiddie participate in half-court drills but stopped him from participating full-court."

It’s nice to see Dinwiddie progressing. I still don’t expect him to crack the rotation this season, but I also didn’t expect him to participate in drills so soon.

As a rookie behind Brandon Jennings, D.J. Augustin and Will Bynum, Dinwiddie already faced an uphill battle for minutes. His injury only sets him back further, but maybe time in Grand Rapids will get Dinwiddie up to speed sooner than later.

There’s at least a chance Dinwiddie can work his way onto the court for the Pistons during the season, and this is a step in that direction.
