Stan Van Gundy on Cartier Martin, via Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:

"“He did not go through stuff in the walkthrough today,” Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said this afternoon. “I’ll leave the status to (director of sports medicine Jon Ishop), but I think questionable, at best.”Right now, the plan is for Jodie Meeks, sidelined by a back injury, and Luigi Datome to be on the Pistons’ inactive list. But if Martin can’t go, Datome will be activated.Greg Monroe, serving a two-game suspension for a DUI conviction, is on the active roster. League rules dictate that, for punishments of fewer than five games, suspended players must be on the active roster."

With Meeks out, Martin figured to crack the rotation at shooting guard. I like his energy and shooting, and I thought he had a good chance to find his way into the rotation at some point, anyway.

It’s be a setback, though not an insurmountable one, if he can’t play tonight.
