Stan Van Gundy on Greg Monroe, via Rod Beard of The Detroit News:

"“He didn’t do anything (today); I don’t think he’ll play this weekend,” coach Stan Van Gundy said after Friday’s practice."

It seems the Pistons are taking my tanking advice.

There’s no good reason to rush Monroe back. I hope the Pistons compete hard Saturday against the Bulls and Sunday against the Celtics. But if Monroe’s absence makes it more likely they lose those contests, all the better.
