Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:

"Monroe will miss his sixth straight game tonight, when the Pistons face the Orlando Magic"

"“I’ve always been a person that plays,” Monroe said this morning at the Amway Center. “That’s my job. That’s something I’ve always done.“I didn’t ask for this. This is something that just happened. When I’m feeling healthy, when I feel everything is totally 100%, I’ll probably play.”"

I once again salute Monroe’s professionalism, but I still think he should take his time returning.

There’s no sense risking further injury during a lost season as he approaches free agency. For the Pistons, they’re better off losing and improving draft position.

Then again, maybe they’re better offi.e., more likely to losewith Monroe in the lineup.
