Detroit Pistons fall to the Boston Celtics 113-109

The Boston Celtics defeated the Detroit Pistons 113-109 on Monday night.
For the majority of the game, the Boston Celtics had around a seven point lead until beginning of the fourth quarter when the Detroit Pistons closed the gap. Andre Drummond was outstanding for the Pistons scoring 28 points and grabbing 22 rebounds. He kept them in the game even though the Pistons shot just 3-27 from three point range.
Isaiah Thomas exploded in the fourth quarter scoring 22 points as the Pistons were unable to match him down the stretch. This is the third loss in a row for the Pistons as they now head back home Wednesday to take on the New Orleans Pelicans.

A. Andre Drummond was great tonight. He had 28 points on 12-19 shooting from the field. He dominated on the glass and collected 22 rebounds. Drummond was a force inside and the Celtics had nobody to box him out. Drummond grabbed seven offensive rebounds and helped keep the Pistons in the game even though they shot 3-27 from three. Stan Van Gundy went with a nine man rotation tonight using Jon Leuer as both starting forward and the backup center. He also used Morris and Harris on both units while only playing Reggie Bullock for seven brief minutes.
