Later this month Tobias Harris will receive a community service award. This is becoming a common thing for the Detroit Pistons forward.

In what’s becoming a truly common occurrence, Tobias Harris will receive a community service award later this month in New York. Body Sculpt of New York will award the Detroit Pistons forward their “Commitment To Kids” award on Saturday, June 24th at their 14th annual Children and Fitness Expo in Brooklyn.

Per The Basketball Network, Vincent Ferguson, president and founder of Body Sculpt of New York had nothing but glowing things to say of Harris.

"“For many children across America, athletes are their role models. Everyone from the basketball player who sinks numerous three-pointers to the female relay team that breaks world track records. I can’t think of a more deserving athlete than Tobias Harris, who exemplifies the character, morals and professionalism that children can proudly emulate.”"

Harris was a nominee for the 2016-17 NBA Cares Community Assist award and won the award for the month of November, 2016. While with the Orlando Magic, he was a two-time winner of the Rich and Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award and has been renowned for his work in both Orlando and the Metro Detroit areas.

Not bad for a 24 year old.
