On Monday we kicked off a new week of Locked On Pistons with mailbag questions. Detroit Pistons Reddit and Twitter was kind enough to oblige with queries.

We kicked off the first week of the Luke Kennard Era of Detroit Pistons basketball with a Locked On Pistons Reddit and Twitter mailbag. Both Pistons’ Reddit and Twitter have been overwhelming in their support and willingness to launch questions my way.

A couple of Piston Powered writers, Luke Wolthuis and Shameek Mohile (follow them both on Twitter) were kind enough to ask questions as well, making this a real family affair. The general theme of the questions I selected from those asked had to do with Darrun Hilliard‘s future, the starting lineup, bench rotation and forwards.

The Pistons have not indicated whether Hilliard will remain with the team after his roster deadline of June 30th, naturally leaving his Orlando Summer League status in doubt. I also got to talk for a while about one of my favorite topics over the course of last season and this offseason: The Pistons’ forward rotations. If you’ve been reading here and on Twitter (and listening to Locked On Pistons), I’ve got a favorite starting lineup that would require Stan Van Gundy to take the forward rotation a different direction from the path he’s taken so far.

Henry Ellenson and Jon Leuer were also frequently addressed in this podcast. A quick teaser, I have concerns about Henry Ellenson but high hopes that Jon Leuer will return to the heights of the first couple months of 2016-17. He’d better, because that’s what the Detroit Pistons need of him.

It runs almost 20 minutes, and it is the first of two mailbag podcasts I have planned for this week. If you’re not familiar with Locked On Pistons, it’s a daily podcast focusing on your Detroit Pistons. It runs about 15-30 minutes most days.
