Detroit Pistons Hall of Famer and former president of basketball operations Joe Dumars is back in action, signing with ISE to lead their basketball division.

It was always just a matter of time. Former Detroit Pistons legend, Hall of Famer, two-time NBA champion (as a player, with another as president of basketball operations), six-time All Star, Finals MVP and four-time All-Defensive first team Joe Dumars is back on the job after signing with Independent Sports & Entertainment to head their basketball division.

Per release:

"“I look forward to beginning this new chapter in my career with ISE. It has always been an honor and immense pleasure to work closely with players to help guide them in all stages of their careers and this position will allow me to step into this role in a longer term and much more impactful and meaningful way,” said Dumars. “I know that Ron Burkle and Hank Ratner are committed to doing things first class and together we will continue to build a strong culture at ISE aligned around providing the very best for our clients.”"

Dumars will be the president of ISE’s basketball division, taking the leading role in advancing the company’s vision into the future.

He has received consideration the last couple offseasons from several NBA front offices, including the Atlanta Hawks this past summer and the New Orleans Pelicans a year ago.

Dumars served as president of basketball operations for the Detroit Pistons for 14 years, leading them to two Finals appearances and an NBA championship, six straight Eastern Conference Finals berths and six Central Division titles.
