With all four professional sports teams in Detroit struggling as of late, is there any hope for a playoff run? Christopher Frost says yes, and explains why the Detroit Pistons will make it happen.

I know the feeling.

You’re a Detroit fan, and you’re thinking to yourself, “Man, what do we have to do to get at least one winner in this town?”

“Can our teams make us proud? Can we get back to the glory days when all four teams were in the playoffs, and we really had something to cheer for?”

Well, if you’re like me (and you haven’t given up hope), I believe that the Detroit Pistons will be the city’s glimmer of light and win a playoff series this year.

Yes, one series victory isn’t much, but seeing how none of our professional teams have won so much as a playoff game in several seasons, I’ll be okay with it as a start.

Over the last few years, Detroit’s clubs have reach a level of futility that fans are justifiably unhappy with.

The Tigers and Red Wings are in rebuilding mode. The Lions, well, let’s just say they’re the “Same Old Lions.” The Pistons haven’t won a playoff game in over a decade, but I’ve got some great-tasting Kool-Aid for all of you to digest.

Here’s why the Detroit Pistons will give fans something to cheer about.
