What will Stan Van Gundy do with the remaining Pistons’ roster spots?

Greivis Vasquez
Greivis Vasquez could be another under the radar pick up to plug in as a third-string point guard. Vasquez, like Ish Smith, is known for being a playmaker. In the 2012-13 season playing with the New Orleans Hornets (now the New Orleans Pelicans), Vasquez had career highs in all three major statistical categories for the season with 13.9 points, 9.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 34.4 minutes per game.
Similar to Brooks, Vasquez was one of the most improved players in the NBA, finishing second in voting. His ability to run a team is second to none and I have a feeling he and Andre Drummond could have great chemistry.
Vasquez is coming off of a down season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He wasn’t able to get regular playing time with the massive array of point guards and line up changes coach Jason Kidd used. On December 15th Vasquez had surgery to remove a bone spur and loose bodies in his right ankle which would rule him out for three to four months. Not a great way to end the season.
Due to the injury, Vasquez may be available for cheap this summer and could slot into a bench role nicely.
