What will Stan Van Gundy do with the remaining Pistons’ roster spots?

Thomas Robinson
Drafted fifth in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacremento Kings, Thomas Robinson has yet to stick in the NBA. He’s already played on five NBA teams in his short NBA career and my guess is that he will soon be at a sixth. Touted highly in his draft class, Robinson hasn’t reached the level of expectations he had coming into the NBA.
Not a stretch four, Robinson isn’t your typical Stan Van Gundy power forward. He’s not going to be out on the court to move the ball and make open threes. What Robinson could give this Detroit team is something they’re used to seeing, only not so much in recent years.
Robinson could be the bench spark they’re looking for. All hustle and energy. Chasing loose balls, getting offensive boards and if something goes down, you’re going to want T-Rob in your corner.
Only 25 years old and with plenty of size, Robinson will give this roster yet another versatile player. He could shift over to center in smaller line ups and he moves well enough to defend all over the court. Not to mention his athleticism.

In the right situation, Robinson could look like the promising player he was in college. Perhaps another small piece to Stan Van Gundy’s puzzle.
