Detroit Pistons: Saddiq Bey plays like a veteran

When you watch Saddiq Bey it is hard to believe he is a rookie sometimes, as he carries himself like a guy who has been in the league for 10 years.

Bey carried the Pistons offensively, pouring in 26 points and adding nine rebounds and two steals in the loss.

I love Bey’s attitude, as he talked before the game about how he wasn’t really paying attention to all of the records he’s breaking, even though he is on the cusp of setting the all-time rookie record for made 3-point shots.

He’s likely to come up just short but probably would have broken the record fairly easily had the season not been cut short due to COVID.

Bey is showing no signs of wearing down and just keeps getting more consistent as the season goes on, which is even more impressive considering he had a truncated offseason and no real training camp to prepare.

A lot of rookies hit the wall this time of year but Bey just keeps plugging along and getting better on both ends.

Are we sure this guy is a rookie?
