Luka Doncic’s rookie numbers vs. Cade Cunningham’s

Cade Cunningham has only played in 16 games so far but is already showing signs of superstardom.

He is a natural leader, much like Luka, and his confidence has not been shaken by a poor start shooting the ball.

The Pistons have played 21 games overall, so I looked at Luka Doncic’s stats through 21 games to see how he compares to Cade.

Cade Cunningham’s per game stats through first 21 games

  • 13.8 points
  • 4.6 assists
  • 6.6 rebounds
  • 27.4% from 3-point range on 117 total attempts

Luka Doncic’s per game stats through first 21 games

  • 18.5 points
  • 4.1 assists
  • 6.6 rebounds
  • 38% from 3-point range on 127 total attempts

Like I said, Luka has played five more games at this point in their respective careers and if you ignore the scoring numbers, everything else is about equal.

For those who haven’t been happy with Cade Cunningham’s start, just know that he is very close to matching Luka Doncic’s rookie numbers if he can just do a couple of things.
