Rodney Stuckey might be worth keeping, says Zach Lowe

Zach Lowe of The Point Forward ran with our earlier Rodney Stuckey trade speculation, and made the case for the Pistons looking harder at keep him:

"The sad thing about the Stuckey situation, if you’re a Pistons fans, is that re-signing him ahead of time would have been a no-brainer had Detroit not already invested so much future money in Gordon, Villanueva and Hamilton. Give a rebuilding team the choice of giving, say, $10 million every season to Stuckey or one of those players, and most rebuilding teams would choose Stuckey."

"But the numbers should be enough to at least make Detroit fans a bit less comfortable with the idea of tossing out Stuckey and turning over ball-handling duties to whatever remains on the roster next season. The Pistons overall are scoring about seven more points per 100 possessions with Stuckey on the court versus with him on the bench, and though that’s a big jump from last season and the season before, you can’t just dismiss it out of hand."
