Pistons season-ticket holders to receive jacket with super powers

I usually don’t like to give the Pistons direct free promotion (see all our coverage of the Pistons’ heavily pitched halftime acts here:         ), but this perk of buying season tickets is too cool to ignore:

"Wear your eye-catching Pistons On-Court Jacket, issued only to Black and Red members, to get 20 percent off Palace concessions and 30 percent off merchandise through the jacket’s embedded microchip."

Of course, this is only a gimmick:

"Q: Must I bring my jacket to each game in order to enjoy my discounts at the concession stands and Locker Room Store? A: Although we would enjoy seeing the arena full of Pistons season ticket members proudly wearing their jackets at every game, we understand that isn’t always possible. As a result, we will be providing each season ticket member account one key card FOB which when scanned at a concession stand or merchandise store will allow you to enjoy your special discount on those games you choose not to bring your member-only jacket."

But at least it’s a cool gimmick.
