Pistons rookie Slava Kravtsov has shown some promise in limited appearances with the Pistons, but also, like the other rookies on the team, plenty of areas he needs to improve to be a regular contributor. Unlike the other rookies, however, Kravtsov has far more adjusting to do off the court. Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press asked him about that transition:
Kravtsov is adjusting to life in metro Detroit and might soon be a guest at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Warren.
Kravtsov said his brother would join him in Detroit at Christmas for a couple of weeks and that his parents would fly in from the Ukraine in February to see him.
Until then, perhaps he’ll have time to meet with the Ukrainian community in the Motor City?
“Of course, this could be fun,” he said.
