Brian Packey of Detroit Bad Boys pointed out something interesting that slipped past my attention. In the brief time Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe played together last night, Brandon Knight was also awesome:
In just under six minutes of action together, Knight racked up four of his six assists while Monroe and Drummond were on the floor together. It could be a coincidence, but in addition to Monroe having success playing point forward, Knight seemed much more comfortable with extra space, as Monroe and Drummond spread things out and opened up the offense. Again, maybe it was a coincidence, but I can’t recall Knight ever coming close to four assists in six minutes before.
Hmm. Weird. Playing your most talented players makes your team better.
