Why Jonas Jerebko ranks No. 9

Jonas Jerebko has been bad this season. B-A-D, bad. That’s why he’s been out the rotation for most of the season.

Can he return to the productive levels he reached his first two seasons? I don’t see why not, but I also don’t completely understand why Jerebko has played so poorly. Shooting too much is part of the problem, but did Jerebko start shooting more frequently after his role was reduced, or was his role reduced because he started shooting more frequently?

It would take a team with a better grasp of Jerebko’s play than I have to deal for him, and considering Jerebko has played just 24 games, I’m not sure that team exists.

Unless the Pistons want to sell low on Jerebko or simply dump his $4.5 million-per-year contract, they’re unlikely to receive a suitable offer until Jerebko starts playing better.
