With NBA Free Agency merely hours away, the Pistons have a lot of buying power this year, unlike years past. This may scare off a few Pistons fans considering how well Joe Dumars used his cap space last time around (i.e. Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva). But the Pistons are in a much better scenario this time.

The Pistons are building around their young prospects Brandon Knight, Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. This may help draw big time free agents to the Motor City, as they already have a young core in place.
