5. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks will be a two-steps forward one-step back situation all year. Andrea Bargnani may not crash and burn as bad as everyone wants him to, but his mere presence forces changes that will move the Knicks out of their comfort zone. Carmelo excelled last season playing the 4, creating mismatch opportunities with his speed and his shooting. Obviously Tyson Chandler will be holding down the center spot, so where does that leave Bargs? Does his presence shift Carmelo back to the 3, where he will be another glorified chucker? Or does he come off the bench and lead the second unit along with the ghost of Amare Stoudemire. It’s grisly stuff, man. Throw in the very real possibility that Metta World Peace and J.R. Smith will argue about who gets to take more last second three pointers (or maybe some Game of Thrones arguments) and you’ve got yourself 5th Seed Stew. Hey though, that Ray Felton is a workhorse!
