Heading into Summer League, it seemed like the Pistons would have a couple of roster spots open for top performing non-roster players to compete for in camp. Hopefuls DeAndre Liggins, Brian Cook, Chris Watford and Damion James all seemed like possible contributors off the bench.

Now, after the signing of Jodie Meeks, Cartier Martin and Aaron Gray, the roster already sits at 15.

Not including restricted free agent Greg Monroe, who awaits his future as teams decide whether it’s worth putting an offer sheet in for his services.

If it’s in the plans to keep the big man, then there will need to be some roster changes.

Detroit will want to be down to 15 players by the start of the season.

There are tons of ways they could make the salary cap and roster work before we get to November.

Even if the Pistons don’t keep Monroe, there is a good chance they will have added assets in some type of sign and trade deal. More than likely there will be other signings or roster moves during this free agency period.

Here are a few ways though, that the Pistons could shrink their roster by the end of July.
