Otis Smith coaching Pistons’ D-League team a done deal

Really, Smith joining the organization in some capacity was probably inevitable since the Pistons hired Stan Van Gundy. And that’s fine. Smith has plenty of NBA experience, and he’s a worthy hire for this role. Sure, he’ll have to grow into coaching, but in Grand Rapids, he’ll have room to develop.
