Detroiters elected former Piston Dave Bing their mayor yesterday.
Jemele Hill had a good piece on Bing last week. He was definitely the NBA-supported candidate.

According to campaign finance records, NBA commissioner David Stern, former Pistons stars Isiah Thomas and Chauncey Billups, and Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert have given money to Bing’s campaign."
