Pistons reach deal with Charlie Villanueva

Detroit has agreed to a five-year contract with Charlie Villanueva, according to the Associated Press.

There are some different numbers floating around for his salary.

This ESPN report (with info from Chris Broussard and Marc Stein) says he will make $40 million.
Chris McCosky of the Detroit News says $35 million.
The Associated Press says at least $35 million.

He can’t officially sign until July 8.
