Poll: Who should be new starting power forward?

When incumbent starting power forward Jonas Jerebko went down with  a partially torn achilles, and with news that it will keep him out of the lineup for five to six months, speculation immediately turned to who would take the place of such a pivotal player.

All the local media outlets are reporting on an increased role for Greg Monroe (a given), but have also indicated that the team is willing to experiment with Austin Daye at the four spot.

I know I’ve championed more playing time for Daye, but I’m not sure I want it to be at the power forward spot. Presently, he doesn’t have the strength to defend small forwards in the league, much less the PF bangers down low. When GM Joe Dumars drafted Daye and signed Charlie Villanueva to a free agent deal, it was obvious that he was envisioning building a Rashard Lewis-type players who were tall, quick and could stretch the defense out to the 3-point line. But the Pistons don’t have a Dwight Howard presence to defend the paint.

So who do you want to start at Power Forward? Vote in the latest Life on Dumars poll.
