Report: Prince no longer on the block
By Editorial Staff
Here’s a quick update as we all try and recover from the snow(pocalypse, mageddeon, blah blah blah). According to Marc Stein, the Pistons are no longer interested in dealing Prince before the Feb. 24 trade deadline. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise as I imagine a combination of wanting to shed his salary after the season and faint hopes of playoff contention has left Joe Dumars comfortable with playing out the season with Tay and thanking him for his years of service by letting him move on to greener pastures next year.
It might be a good move for Tayshaun as well as he is having a career year offensively and can put all his skills on display. If he was to be traded, the most likely destination would be a contending team looking to add depth, which would probably mean Prince came off the bench in a situational role.
Stein also says that the Pistons are still trying to deal Hamilton without success. Shocker.
Now go shovel a driveway or something.
