Pistons won’t draft Jonas Valanciunas if they have to wait a year for him

Although it appears unlikely Valanciunas will play in the NBA next season, he hasn’t reached a final agreement with his European team, Lietuvos Rytas. Valanciunas playing in the NBA next season is still possible.
Still, this makes it unlikely Detroit drafts him. If he agrees to a buyout that will put him in the NBA next season, another team will probably draft him before No. 8. If he doesn’t reach a buyout that puts him in the NBA next season, I guess the Pistons will pass.
