The Pistons have released their full schedule. Keith Langlois of Pistons.com:
"In the 66-game format, the Pistons will play 18 games against Western teams. The only ones they will play both home and away are Memphis, Sacramento and Minnesota. The Pistons will not host six Western Conference teams this season: Houston, the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix, Denver, Utah and Oklahoma City. In addition, they will not visit another six Western teams: New Orleans, San Antonio, Dallas, the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State and Portland. Those six teams, in addition to the three that they play both home and away, all will visit The Palace. The Pistons will play 15 of their final 25 on the road."
The Pistons are one of the teams with five games in six nights with a stretch that begins in late January:
- Friday, vs. Atlanta
- Saturday, at Philadelphia
- Monday, at Milwaukee
- Tuesday, at New York
- Wednesday, at New Jersey
So, not only are there five games in six nights, all five are in different cities. The Pistons also have a back-to-back stretch in April: vs. Cleveland, at Atlanta, vs. Minnesota.
Yes, those stretches seem burdensome, but remember, every team faces similar tasks this season.
