Tom Gores provides breakfast, lunch and improved travel accommodations

Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:
"The players have breakfast waiting for them when they arrive at the Pistons practice facility in the morning during training camp and lunch is waiting afterward. The locker room at the Palace has been expanded and, when the team hits the road, they will fly out of Pontiac instead of Detroit Metro — a major time concession for players who live in northern Oakland County."
Good for Tom Gores. Making his players happy – without paying them more in salary that counts against the cap – is a great investment. Plus, the new flight arrangements could pay especially large dividends in this hectic 66-game schedule that will surely tax players.
