Former Piston Christian Laettner wants to coach in the NBA

From the Charlotte News Observer:

"Laettner has considering coaching in the college ranks, but believes he’s better suited for the professional game.“The recruiting part of it is very demanding and a lot of work,” Laettner said of coaching at the college level. “I’d rather work on team building and player development. So I like the pro ranks a little better, I think.”"

Laettner is currently an assistant in the D-League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, where he helped coach current Piston Walker Russell. Laettner was only a Piston for a minute, but posting this gives me another chance to link once again to the time Jerry Stackhouse fought Laettner on the team plane.
