Michigan names new basketball practice facility after William Davidson

"Michigan basketball coach John Beilein has few photos in his office, but one features him and former Detroit Pistons owner William Davidson.And Beilein now has one more connection to the late billionaire — he goes to work every day in a facility named for Davidson.U-M’s regents officially named the new two-story, 57,000-square-foot, $23.2-million facility the William Davidson Player Development Center.Davidson’s family, through the William Davidson Foundation, gave a $7.5-million gift to the athletic department. Davidson died in March 2009."
"The Athletic Department will honor Davidson at halftime of the final home basketball game this season, against Purdue on Feb. 25."
