Detroit Pistons 4-game Western Road Trip Pushes Them out of Postseason Contention

It’s amazing how open the league is right now. Then again, what was to be expected with such a shortened and compacted schedule for all the franchises?

The Detroit Pistons, before their western road trip, sat at 15-26 and still had hopes of grabbing the eight seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

It was a far cry from a sure thing. It was a hell of a possibility though.

However, with the post-D’Antoni Knicks putting together a mild winning streak and the Pistons dropping three-of-four of their last games, Detroit just wants to be anything except last place in their division.
