Brandon Knight might play against the Hawks tonight, unless he’s out for a while. It depends whether you believe Perry A. Farrell of the Detroit Free Press or Perry A. Farrell of the Detroit Free Press.
"Brandon Knight’s MRI on his hyperextended right knee came back negative, but the second-year point guard will be out awhile.Pistons doctor Ben Paolucci visited Knight before Friday night’s game with Indiana, but coach Lawrence Frank said he’s day-to-day"
"Youngsters are quick healers. That’s why Ben Paolucci, the Pistons’ team doctor, expected Brandon Knight to play tonight against Atlanta and 19-year-old Andre Drummond to be back soon.Knight, 21, has missed the past two games with a hyperextended right knee. Late Saturday night, Paolucci said Knight was fine and thought he’d be healthy enough to play against the Hawks at the Palace."
I don’t know, either, though the more optimistic report was published more recently.
I do know I like how that first excerpt continues:
"coach Lawrence Frank said he’s day-to-day and won’t play again until he’s 100%."
I just wish Lawrence Frank had taken that approach all along, and maybe Knight would have already reached 100 percent.
