– The Wizards made some very minor moves this offseason, which was the best thing for them. The talent on the roster now, puts them right in the thick of the playoff mix, given John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Nene stay healthy. A healthy Wizards team, is a dangerous one, especially a team run by John Wall. Wall’s explosive athleticism, ability to finish around the basket, and court vision make for a lot for a defender to handle. A key move for the Wizards was locking in John Wall long term, and they did that, signing him to a max deal this offseason.

Washington went 25-24 with Wall in the lineup last year, showing how dangerous this team can be when they are healthy and firing on all cylinders. With Wall and Beal holding down the backcourt, Washington also has a solid frontline in place. With small forward Trevor Ariza, and pair of big men Emeka Okafor (2004 Rookie of the Year) and Nene.

It would not surprise me to see the Wizards sneak into the playoffs next year, but it will be difficult with a much improved Eastern Conference.

Fun times ahead for D.C.!

2013-2014 Prediction: 38-44
