It’s time to gear up for the NBA draft.
The lottery has officially passed us and despite losing the Pistons losing their first round pick to the Hornets, there is a lot to be excited about. The 2014 draft class is one of the deepest in the last 20 years and very well could rival the 2003 draft as one of the best ever.
Before the 2013 draft, conversations were brewing about how special the top of this draft was going to be.
Despite living down the unbelievable expectations, that statement still holds true.
The Eastern conference will instantly become more competitive with three potential superstars going in the first three picks. The central division will improve drastically with the first two picks of the draft going to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
After selecting third overall, the Philadelphia 76ers will look to add another piece with the tenth pick in the first round.
Orlando will follow Philly with the fourth pick. They also return to the lottery for the 12th overall selection.
Joining the Magic and 76ers with multiple picks in the first round are the Suns (14,18,27), Bulls (16,19), Celtics (6, 17), Jazz (5, 23), Thunder (21,29) and Hornets (9,24).
Though there will be trades on draft day, our post lottery NBA mock draft will not feature any of those moves.
Without further ado, here’s our first crack post lottery — The Pistons Palace NBA mock draft edition.
